Do you know where I can download the demo four to test my system, etc.

Do I need anything special installed to play it or just download it and put it in baseq3 and play it?

It comes with the latest patches.

Just enter \demo four at the console

using my cfg i get 299.9 with some crap running in the background. i'm not going to bother turning on all the candy just for a benchmark unless someone posts the console commands to do it so i can set everything back to the way i have it easily

/writeconfig homo.cfg

then set up all the eyecandy

when youre done, /exec homo.cfg

restored default settings then turned texture detail all the way up and set it to trilinear and got 215fps.
i'm only running a xp2800+ though, so i don't expect much
