Apparently it's a bug, others have the same issue. If you use SMP be sure to turn your Lagometer off.

Hmm not tried to use smp with the lagometer off - although i did not see an improvement with smp on
(other hardware issues mean i'm replacing m0b0 and memory - so i've held off looking too far into things until i have my os re-installed)
I've searched, but found little mention of this bug ...

I was talking to AnthonyJ of Q4Max. He said other people have reported the same issue.

I've certainly seen it reported - whether or not its a placebo is another matter.
Presumably you see a measurable improvement with/without it?

Yes. My FPS is very consistent and the mouse feels smooth when I disable lagometer.

Yep, its the worst performance bug in Q4 imo. Feels like 50% less performance with it.
