Laptop, for business uses not gamer...

I'm thinking about going back in the real estate and getting a lap top to carry with me when meeting clients. What should I get, used one that would do the job, because at this moment I can't afford $4K for one. I've been on vacation for nearly 12 years and I'm out of big$. How does it work with wireless when you're in your car or my client's place. The things I need to have in my PC to make it wireless and what about the cost of wireless ISP?
Any of you is using one for his work?

there is wireless networks that have limmited range from there base station..

then there is a Cell based internet service ( i think this is what you are talking about )

You need to go into a little more detail about what you want for us to make a recommendation...

I need my lap top to work in a peripheral area of not much more then 10 miles around. I don't know if this make a difference as if I need it in New York, or is it depends on my ISP.

if you're REALLY going to use it for business and will be using it wirelessly on the road often, i would strongly suggest a cell based service like sprint or verizon.

nothing worse than being with a client or needing to look something up ASAP and having to find a hotspot or someone's open network when you're pressed for time. not a way to do business.

Again, you understood exactly my needs. Are the service cost of wireless ISP alike those from cell phones, do you know?

they're more expensive. typically it's about $60-$80 US/month for "broadband" speeds which typically aren't quite broadband but is quite acceptable for anything you'll be using it for.

Had a look at the site but it is for USA. Googled for more than an hour to find a similar in Quebec Canada and still haven't found it. Man, am I a nul or what?
