Anyone here play UT2004?
Well, it's alright. It's a bit troublesome with the alt-fire and the adrenaline bs not to mention the ninja trick jump crap. But I've been playing the demo for sometime and I kinda enjoy it. I still prefer the Quake games though. I ask people on it if they play Quake as well and they state that Quake sucks.
What are you thoughts on it? Think it's worth it to shell out maybe $15 maybe $25 for it?

You just suck at FPS.
What's so noob about it though?

Its the whole "quake players hate UT players" thing..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

I could never really get into it. My problem is, I started with Q3 and got used to that level of awesomeness. Every game i've played online since just doesn't cut it.

The original Unreal Tournament wasn't too bad but I think I only liked it because we would play it during our computer classes in high school and I would own everyone. I brought in Quake 3 and my Razor once and they refused to play it again after the owning I laid down. (Not that I was every really that good, they were just that bad.)
When 07 comes out it would be good to establish a group and play it for a few weeks together at least. That kind of experience will probably get you into it far more.brisk wrote:I could never really get into it. My problem is, I started with Q3 and got used to that level of awesomeness. I spent a lot of time with UT2004 ONS in leagues and such because I found a good group to play with.
Oh for sure, i'll always give the game a chance. It could be the best thing ever afterall. I still have the bitter aftertaste that is Q4 lodged in my throat though, so excuse my apprehension.
But yeah, I need a new online FPS to play. I haven't touched Q3 in months now

same, but before any of the fat pimply arses of pseudo-magnanimity tries to sit on me - it is a good game, i just don't like it.bitWISE wrote:I don't really like the weapons or the feel of it though.
