I'm too pissed off to post here right now...

It was all Markkanen. What a goalie.

:o Wow, they actually pulled it off. I watched it up until just a little after Carolina scored their second goal. So I didn't see the celebration.

I did just briefly catch the early radio show on espn, and barry melrose saying something about the nhl needing teams like Philly and New York (either one) in the finals for the fanbase to get back up to where it used to be. Unfortunately, that's probably true.

Stating that, I still like seeing teams like the Hurricanes and Tampa before them winning it all. Good teams, regardless of the city, is what *I* as a fan care about. Yes, of course, team loyalty counts too (and I do have that as well).

It is a shame about the relative smaller size of fanbase in Carolina, but it *is* hockey in the U.S. ... you can expect that.

To the hockey-haters out there, :p to your sport. It was a great season, at least of what I saw. Go smaller-market teams!

Great game! Very exciting to see Carolina win.

You can partially blame the small fanbase on shitty marketing and lousy league management.

there are plenty of US cities that are hockey towns.
example: here in buffalo the TV ratings for all of the sabres playoff games were higher than the superbowl.

Seriously though wtf, us Finnish goalies bust our asses for our teams to win but we don't get any thanks in return >:E

This series was Calgary vs Tampa all over again. Kiprusoff as usual was magnificent, but it's hard to win games when your teammates have their heads up their asses.
