are you kidding me? they looked very strong in the first half. they were winning nearly every ball and created some great scoring chances.

offensively they were superb. kaka as good as he was, didnt play as well as he usually does, but ronaldinho played marginally better as did ronaldo. robinho was awesome as was juninho p. cicinho had some great runs but his crosses seemed to be too high. still though, he was doing swell.

defense was also strong. they were winning everything and kept japan from passing well. let me ask you this: how many good chances did japan get on brazil's goal? i can only count two: (1) the low cross/shot towards goal that Juan I believe knocked out of play (close to being an own goal) and (2) the goal that japan scored.

japan was efficient in the first half, but that's not to say that brazil played poorly on the defensive end. every team gets a few chances no matter how good or bad they are. efficiency means a lot. good for japan for getting a goal but too bad for them that they couldnt keep it up.

ronaldo has to finish digesting the 12 happy meals he scoffs before each game.

Ronaldo has got 11% bodyfat and it is very tiring to read that sort of crap all over the place.

lol i heard on ESPN that an avg of 5.X yellows have been given out each match during the Cup so far. wouldn't be so bad if they were issuing them for the massive amount of dives.

I don't understand why people are complaining about dives so much. There was no notable increase of dives in this World Cup.

Yeah, I'm seriously glad the US are going home now, all this complaining about refs and the "european conspiracy" to hold them back was getting really annoying.

"european conspiracy" :olo: is there really talk like this in the US?

truth is, the USA team is strictly average, and their position in the FIFA rankings is undeserved. ffs argentina are ranked lower than USA, and on the strength of what we've seen so far argentina would smash the USA into the ground

no, there's NO such talk in the US. the team that represents the US just plain sucks.
