Well, when I go online to play Q3, rght before my game starts up a windows message comes up that says "quake3.exe has experienced a problem and needs to close .We're sorry for the inconvenience". This does this on both of my computers. I dont think it's a connection problem or a problem with the game because sometimes it does work, but that is rare.
Is there a setting I missed turn off in windows XP so that I can play my Quake?
Thanks in advance and if you need more info just ask!

then you have a stability problem with your computer, Its not the games fault.
Things that could cause this are reletivly simple:
System's Memory acting up/faulty
Heat
Corrupt windows
App's running in the background ( usually Malware/spyware/virii's )
bad drivers ( Soundcard, videocard, etc )
Last but not least, it COULD be... COULD! be a bad install of the game causing it. but considering it has happened on another game the chances are slim.
try uninstalling it, Reinstalling it, and installing the patch ( 1.32 ) and try it again.
