england deserved to lose. a shitty, shitty performance once again, and if it wasn't for the fact that they're my home team, i'd probably fall asleep watching them. and sven is a joke. his "tactics" are laughable, and his team selection (ie, the strikers) is ridiculous. why bring a 17 year old unproven striker, and not even give him a game? the fact that we lost 2 of our strikers in the end only goes to show that he made critical mistakes in the selection process.

but then again, we defended very well, and portugal never looked like scoring. the fact is, if an england team is playing for a penalty win, then they may as well just quit there and then.

still, i'm glad brazil lost. they've been similarly disappointing, and don't deserve to be champions this year.

go go italy!

Damn right, I cant stand football in all forms. And those teams who are constantly hyped to be the best in the world and will definitely win no matter what, those are the teams I laugh at the most. Man Utd, England, Celtic, Rangers, Tyrone (gaelic), Dublin (gaelic), etc.

Heres another great England joke. England practiced penalties and Portugal didnt.

frankly i think neither team deserved to win. portugal had a man advantage for an hour, and couldn't make something of it against a team playing crap football with a fucking pasty preying mantis up front. zidane and co are going to shit all over them

To annoy you lot of course.
And its pretty much impossible to miss the hype via TV, newpapers and ads. Pity the ball wasnt shaped like a Pringles can Gerrard might have scored eh?
Actually thats a thought. The England team probably spent more time recording adverts than appearing on the pitch. Oh I'm getting hard again.

Yet they won two more World Cups than England. And they were half a country for two of those wins.
Funny the bald fatties dont think of that when taunting the germans.
Funny you germans dont add that if it wasnt for the USA you would still be cleaning the USSR's cock juice out of your cunt, nevermind some silly world cups.

The France - Brazil game was waay better than England - Portugal. A dazzling display of how football should be played. In retrospect, England did not deserve to play the semifinals anyway, based on how bad their game was, so Portugal was the better choice.

And France was clearly the better team, and although it's always nice to see Brazil move on, France deserved the win.

Too bad those Italian cunts managed to coast their way to the semis because of a lucky draw, let's hope they get steamrolled over by Germany in the next game.

Beckham quits as England captain, anyone know what his record is while being captain as in matches won and lost in the six year period?

:olo:

looks like the host nation will lift the cup this time.

insufficient upcoming good young players + "english style of play" = no chance of winning anything for many many years

They were waay overhyped, and nowhere as good as the media have suggested. Don't get me wrong, I like the English team, and I like the Premier League, but the English players are only good when properly supported by international stars in their club teams.

i don't know how much they were overhyped in the media because i generally avoid the msm, but if it's anything like previous tournaments it was probably excessive. however i should point out that the hype isn't built on nothing: england have played some top class football on occasion, and the hype stems from a belief they can do it all the time. unfortunately, they can't

at least things are better than they were under keegan. omg what a muppet
