DarkStar One

Post by iluvquake4 »

This is awesome... it gets really intense later on, in the demo missions where you get 13k + profit -- very cool dogfighting. The game comes out in August. Controls like an FPS in space, pretty neat. If you loved Tie Fighter or the X-Wing games you'll probably really like this. Keep in mind the demo is very limited compared to retail (space stations look same, etc.) to keep the size down.

keep the size down? it's a gig.

wish there were more space shooters, then maybe someone would make a joystick game dumbed down enough for me to play - there was one called 'space interceptor' that was just right, but i don't think it ever got released in the uk.

this still has too many buttons and it's only single-player. fun to play, quite pretty and the ship handles nicely.

Yay!

I love playing these Freelancer type games.

Hovewer, I would really love it if someone would come out with a Battlestar Galactica game (the new Battlestar) for PC's.

freelancer couldve been great, if your char would carry over from server to server, and if the random missions werent all so alike.

Wow, I just tried Freelancer, it's even better. Some of these older games are so much better (content and gameplay wise) than the newer ones.

I tried it a few days ago, but I really didn't get enough time to get into it since my damn system keeps crashing on the demo after 5 minutes of play...gave up on it

Try Freelancer, instead, if you haven't already:
