The Quake3World 'what game you playing now' thread
HL2:E1
Just picked it up and it kicks a lot of bottom.
You can't beat throwing ragdolls around with the souped up gravity gun.
I just lost the souped up bit now, though, so it's going to get a lot harder, I assume.
Very interesting and beautiful level design.
Runs pretty well too, even on my aged system, with everything maxed plus HDR at 1024x768.

Too right, I've still not finished it thoughbrisk wrote:Same. Best SP game on the PC for me.mik0rs wrote:I'm tempted to get back to Deus Ex (1) again this weekend, fantastic game.

I play it - becoming completely immersed - then suddenly stop, by the time I go back I've forgotten what's happened.
Breaking out of the prison was probably my favourite part of the bits I've seen.

Lineage 2 because it's a MMorpg and its free
What I've learned:
#1 Japanese people are gay perverts
#2 MMORPG do everything wrong that single player rpgs have been doing right since the first Baldur's gate came out. If you like Lobotomies, you'll love Lineage 2.
The next mmorpg I'm going to play, if ever, will be Freelancer Online or Kotor Online.

The current game I'm playing is Drill Dozer for the Game Boy Advance. On my DS of course.
I have to say that it's probably the most under rated platforming game ever.
It's sort of like a tie between Sonic and Megaman.
You have a mech-like unit called a Drill Dozer that has a huge drill bit on the front of it. You use it in a bunch of different but innovative ways. There are upgrades and different drill bits for your Drill Dozer that give you the ability to travel in water as well as fly.
Probably one of the unique things about the game is that in each level you can get these gear upgrades for your Drill Dozer. You use the drill function by holding the L button or R button depending on which way you want to spin the drill. With the gears, when you hold down the drill button, the drill reaches it's max rpm for its current gear and you quickly let go of the button you're using to drill and quickly press it again to shift up to a higher gear. You can shift up to a max of 3 gears depending on how many you've collected for the current level.
The game has a good challenge of difficulty in normal mode and after you've beaten the game you can try hard mode. All of the boss fights are very fun and original. I'm probably about 1/2 to 3/4 way through the game and I have to say it's probably the best handheld platformer (next to the metroid games) that I've ever played.
After I "test played" it I immediately went out and bought the game and have been totally satisfied. The game is on sale at best buy this week for only $9.99 so it's not like you'd be taking much of a risk.

right now im mostly playing NFS:MW. I've done away with NFS after the ghastly Hot Persuit 2 and Underground.
I downloaded the demo only cause i was bored, and for the first time since NFS3 i actually thought it to be exciting, getting chased by the cops et al.
so i got the full version and im quite enjoying it. not too much tuning/ricing (you dont have to at all if you dont want to) and the physics are hardly ever a problem like they were in all other 'new age' NFS'.
i also have a savegame going of IceWind Dale, but just like everytime I play it, I just cant get myself past chapter 3 cause the story and characters are so damn boring

hm - from what i've read this is caused by the copy protection. even if your game is legit. i use pr0t.st0p, securom loader and a dt mounted iso and i'm not having any crashes... guess this should work as well with the original version. but it's kinda annoying, as you'd have to grab a working iso from your dvd.Stoner wrote:Quake 3, and Titan Quest.
I would be playing Titan Quest alot more if it wasnt such a buggy peice of shit, It crashes constantly. Its pretty fun but definatly not a quality game.
