Is QIII MP Only?

I have QIV and totally dig it, but I thought QIII was multi-player only. Are their single-player missions in QIII?

How would you compare the graphics and game play in QIII to QIV?

there is a SP element, but it is designed to emulate the MP... so no missions, per se. you just compete deathmatch-style against AI players. it's more fun, in my opinion, than the standard fps game that seems to be four hours of searching for a hidden door/key/lever, one hour of boring cut scenes, and 20 minutes of actual entertainment.

graphics aren't as smooth as q4, but if your system can run that smoothly then you can max out q3 gfx and it will look as good as half the stuff that's been released in the last year or two. game play... just going by its longevity as a professional e-sports platform the only games that are in the same league are starcraft and camperstrike. this is the game that brought competitive online gaming to the front page (outside of asia) - made fatal1ty famous, etc. for $20 it's well worth it.

\spmap mapname
where mapname is the name of the map you are about to play, i.e. q3dm0.
What makes sp so appealing is an initial announcement and final commendations.

If you are planing to release a player model, never forget to include an announcement sound!
