Which episode selector thingy? All I know is Valve has stated that they would only be producing three episodes. Further episodes are a possibility but they wouldn't be made by Valve.

You mentioned $120 spread out for the same content that $60 would get you in one package. It seemed you were insinuating that its a ripoff (which it rightly would be, except for the reasons I explained before).

When you start a new game, you can select which Episode you wish to play. There's six episodes you can choose from. Episodes 1 - 5 are named and there's a nameless 6th episode as well.

aye. Ep3 will be the end of the HalfLife story. or well, they said they wouldnt be makin a HL3 - HL Episodes should be consideredn 'HL3'

There's only one red portal and one blue portal.
It was setup in a corner, but it gave the impression that he was running though four portals.

I had to take a second look at that also.
If you play that part frame by frame, you just look for the white cube in the right corner.

I agree on one portal. One portal = one entrance and one exit (though both can be both, but you still need both).
