How long can you go without eating?

I've been trying to lose a little weight myself lately... basically by eating less, eating more healthy, drinking loads of water when i get hungry and cycling everywhere i go. And going to more parties (dancing is good and fun, i figure - especially with these crazy temperatures).

It's working pretty good so far, i'm not gonna go out of my way for it as in going to the gym or engage in sports or anything like that. Far too lazy.

I can't go 12 hours without getting sick if I don't eat. I had to do a 24 hour fast once and it was the worst thing I've ever done.

I eat about every 2 hours.

Yes. I was broke :P eating again after a week isn't a good thing to do if you're not at home though :P

You get used to the hunger after a couple of days, but I got a weird metallic taste in my mouth, so had to brush my teeth more than usual.

I once drank a whole weekend without any food with a friend of mine then we ordered a club sandwich from our restaurant nearby.
I tried to eat it when my "palais" ( the palate ) really hurted and I was ubable to take another bite of it. That's how far you can go without eating, well I ghess. Tonight is another one. I just don't fell like eating. I usually eat only once a day around 9PM, I know, I drink a few beers and smoke cigs. but at a time I wasn't drinking at all and at the same time I lost like 25 pnds. I'm only 125pnds right now. But I don't care. WEll I'm not sure. I think the thing is that I don't want to outlived my parents.

I thought Frenchies enjoyed eating, even made love to their food with their mouths...
