it's not that much about realism. check out the scream for example and notice that the sky colour reappears in the handrail, etc ~

Here's another one. Didn't like the original picture for this one, but just wanted to practice colouring some more and took what sketch I had.

Almighty, I think that you should put some more shading on the rocks to give them a sense of depth.

Doesn't really matter. He's is a mapper and he can show whatever he likes. It's not like this is a supermega actice thread where everyone's seriously showing mapping stuff every minute.

They're.... concept art... for a map. Yeah, that's it! :icon25:
Seriously, there are a lot of talented people in here and I wanted good, honest feedback. Haven't had any complaints from anyone else, but I'll stop posting them if it's getting in the way of other people wanting to display their maps. Just let me know. Personally, I think it's all good. :icon31:

Here's another sketch. I didn't colour it, because some people in another forum didn't like my previous attemps at colouring. I'll just wait until I get the tablet I ordered.

cool concept
one thing. the tree looks 2d, try to draw the branches in differant directions. branches don't only grow on the side of a tree

i like it although i think the background would be better with a pic that was a bit more barren.

Yes, I agree. I just like the position of the sun, and the clouds around it. The bushes belong in Africa. :icon25:

Maybe you should start a new thread? It's perhaps a bit too many now.

Yeah okay, I'll stop. If I post anything more, I will create a thread.

Here ya go, something CTF alpha...
People pushed me to develop a CTF map, so I'm doing my best in getting gameplay feedback before the cosmetics stage begins.
I'll keep you posted, for sure!
P.S. And yes, I'm gonna using those great textures again, thanks Yves!
