question about burning movies

so i burnt a movie for a friend..

in windows explorer(1) the type is movie file (mpeg) = burnt this in VCD format using nero

i have a few more movies with the type of video clip with WE(1)look at 1) how should i burn em, VCD / SVCD ? without wasting many CD-R's/DVD's
