It seems like a petty whine more than anything

Xbox was big. Probably twice the size of a PS2.

So what? They both kicked a lot of ass.

If someone's choice on a console is based of the size of the console
itself, then they probably need to fuck off.

its the curved top that annoys me. same annoyance with the xbox1. cant station anything on it cause they want to look fancy

Well they probbaly do that so you don't restrict any of the vents by placing some other hot component on top of it.

Doesn't the PS3 actually have a full PS2 inside as well, because they couldn't get the PS3 to emulate old games? It seems silly, but it was a rumor going around a while back...

While the PS3 is a failure on all fronts, other than the BluRay drive, it's one saving grace to many consumers will be it's looks. Xbox360's console design is trash. I would say the Wii is on top, as far as aesthetics are concerned, with PS3 coming in right behind Wii.

PS3 looks bad standing up, but it isn't terrible to look at when it's sitting like a true console.
