i was trying to fix my friends PC last night cause he's a noob and clicks on everything and he's got spyware comming outta his arse, went to windows update and it turns out his windows is illegal, i asked if he has the original CD he says the store didnt give it to him lol

i cleaned as much as i could with adaware and hijackthis but hes still fucked without a reinstall..

I must be missing something need a little help here. I can take this machine and my game machine down to the shop and they can download those dancers but if I hook the machines up here I can't. Ive called Comcast they say there are no restrictions on the account. I reset the router and I still can't connect I haven't tried Office yet but I'm sure I will get the same result. What on the Network should I be looking for that would block access. This machine has Norton and the game machine has Mcafee neither one can get to the websites I mentioned above.

Check for keyword or URL blocking on the router.

I just checked the router don't see anything getting blocked

Amazing I've been putzing around with this download problem for two months and I don't get it.

Comcast comes out here and adds addresses to the DNS servers which have always been blank before and problem is solved.
