form what was said in other reviews, As long as you got a socket 939, you are good to go to sport on of them sumsabitches... Well, that and a bios update... :)

Well, you're going to have to wait.
Games, for example, probably wont run any faster than they do right now on a 3800+ as they wont use the second core.

:(

Well, not for a year or so for SMP aware games to begin shipping.

Well it's not like Q3 \r_smp 1 gives you double the framerate does it? :paranoid:

that is a USUALLY Server side Cvar, some people reported actually bein able to use that client side, and getting a little frame rate increase... but thats about it.

AMD is working with a few companys and etc to see if they can get the to start porting to 64-bit and etc.. so it wont be TO long..

On a dual CPU Mac, it sure helps. Not quite double, but sometimes around 80%, I believe. I think the SMP in the Windows version is fucked. Either that, or it just doesn't like HyperThreading. :)

I turned HT on & /r_smp 1 and it was jerky and dropped by quite a bit.
