what's the deal with gas prices?

Post by bitWISE »

BP closed down 8% of our domestic oil production and prices drop 60 cents and seem to keep going down?

I'm not complaining. But this pretty much proves supply/demand is not effecting gas prices at all.

It's Brendan here from PetrolPrices.com. Just a quick email to let you know 2 things.

Firstly, a bit of good news, there is a fuel price war going on at the moment sparked off by the supermarkets reducing their prices. This means you can now save even more using our site. This is because as the prices change, some petrol stations are slower to respond than others, leaving bigger price differences. This makes PetrolPrices.com even more useful to compare prices before you fill up.

Secondly, after lots of requests we have started a blog and I want your views on petrol prices and a whole host of other motoring issues. The idea is that if we get enough of you voting and commenting on the blog articles then we can work with the press to get the majority views heard by the government.

If anyone has any ideas for new blog posts that we should make please send them to hannah@petrolprices.com as she is co-ordinating it. You can get to the blog by clicking here.

I desperately need your help spreading the word about the site. Please can you make a special effort to talk to or email at least one person about our site this week so that we can raise awareness and get enough people commenting on the blog to make a real difference.

All the best,
Brendan

Prices are going down here too, by about 10 cents so far in a month or so.

But there is a cane heading for NE, which will give reason to jack it back up oncei t hits.

I yearn for the days of $2.50. Right now I'm shelling out $3.19. :icon33:
