Good call. People bag on you way too much. 80% of what these q3wers say is lame stupidity, and only like 30% of what you say is garbage.
Oil companies adjusting prices based on futures, lol. Oooh terror event! Jack up prices by a quarter over a month! Pretty ridiculous considering the gas you put in your car today has been refined and in storage tanks for anywhere up to nine months.
Well, diesel is. I'm not sure the exact 'shelflife' of standard unleaded gasoline. I think it's close to the same.
You know what this thread really needs? Ann Coulter and John Carmack talking to each other about the tick in their voices.
I wonder if mid-grade and premium really cost 10-20 cents more to make...its only a few more octane. Probably has more to do with the fact that the only people who go for mid-grade or premium have the money to not care.

I ran 91 in my last car. i really didnt notice a huge difference in filling up instead of running 87. But my car thanked me every tank.
Worth it imo.
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

Cars with high compression and forced induction require the higher grades. After running premium in my last car I was more than happy to drop 87 into the eclipse but I noticed that unless I run 89 I get a little tick in the engine.

Thats why i ran 91. I got "slightly" better gas milage, and didnt get "the tick".

Damn, you Yanks get your petrol ridiculously cheap. Probably why you're the ones heating up the world with your emissions, you should be made to pay the same as the rest of us ...dunno about the rest of Europe, but in the UK petrol is about £0.93 a litre. I just got up, though, and my brain is currently incapable of working out what that would translate to in $-a-gallon.
