So I give Amazon all my money...

And in return they randomly send me an 8 pound box of food via UPS to promote their new Grocery department. I thought it was a terrorist attack or something until I ate the food inside.

I shudder to think how much I had to spend to get on that list :paranoid:

There was a lot of stuff in that box, so there might still be some huggies inside

They didn't. It was a botched shipment destined for your house. :))

Wow thats fucking great!

No more having to wait til 2am to shop without 900 people.
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Didn't online grocery stores fail miserably one after the other during the dot com boom (and bust)?

And whatever happened to the refrigerator that would reorder food from an LCD?

Amazon is pushing this grocery thing with their Prime shipping deal... You pay $80 a year for free 2nd day shipping (or a couple of bucks for next day). I really think it's a great combination if the prices are right. Their prices on most other things beat B&M stores into the ground.

They're out there. Once you start seeing more RFID tags on food products and the stores have the infrastructure in place to handle the orders and deliveries the service should become more prevalent. It's going to take a fairly widespread buy-in from major grocery chains, though. I think it's a great idea, as I fucking hate grocery shopping. However, I don't want a batch of shit just showing up at random intervals, with some spotty punk handing me a bill. If I can approve a purchase first, I'd be fine with it.
