Yeah but if you get a new console then it will last for another 5 years with many recent game titles.

O'dium....what do you think about PSP/DS?

Also, as for what console is the best I think it really depends on what you're looking for.

For example, if youre looking for a wide variety of games, like RPGs and Japanesey games and are a big importer...get PS2. If you want lots of power and games like Ninja Gaiden, get Xbox. If you like 1st party Nintendo games get the Gamecube.

I'm really into fighters so I generally don't play my Gamecube which is kinda crappy. The controller is so shit for those types of games that companies dont even want to release them on GC!

I lvoe the DS, brought one a few months back imported from US. The thing rocks, the touch screen is just amazing and a joy to use. You just cant beat it.

The PSP, well, I've had a few goes on it, and its a nice machine. Good looking, nice screen. But the games are huge, the battery life is very poor, and there are no games that make me scream like a girl ATM. Maybe if they re-release FF7 on there :D

But, the DS in my eyes has won me over for the moment. mario 64 DS and Wario Ware rock so much, they are so fun to play. I already got all 150 stars, took me a week or so of solid play lol. Thats a lot of play time.

Dunno if it's true, but aren't there 185 stars in Mario64 DS?

The reason I ask is because I got a Nintendo DS as a gift and I really just use it as a Gameboy Advance. Which is fine and all except you cant play multiplayer GBA games on it :(

I dont like any of the games on there. I played Mario 64 about 10 years ago or something.

Anyway, do you know of any fighters coming out on DS?

why x vs y vs z when you can simply just go all the way. that way you can not only bitch about [game] om [consoleA], but also play [othergame] on [consoleB] :p

No, but since I consider myself more of a mapper then a gamer... it seemed like a good question to ask. But like I said, I love Zelda and Metroid.. and Mario. So I might end up getting the cube.

While I love Nintendo for what they do, that's just a stupid thing to say. Nintendo is just as money-oriented as every other company out there. Giving wireless internet for free doesn't say "we love you so much, we want to see you smile!", but it screams "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BUY OUR SYSTEMS!". Nintendo isn't some kind of holy wellfare institution.

Get a Slim PS2. It's about 1/5th the size of an x-box, has some good games (GTA, GT, MGS, FF..), and it has a really good DVD player.

It also comes bundled with the network adapter so you can play online without having to buy an extra thing.

PS2 has Metal Gear Solid and GT4. Don't buy the slim version though, get a SCPH-50004 if possible.

Yes, there's rumours of a Soul Calibur DS :icon14:

From what I know it'll be a port of the Dream Cast version of the first Soul Calibur
