Anyone Interested?

Post by fingermouse »

I have a map, but no programming skill........
Does someone want my map? Its 1,300kb file, i could email, skype or lime wire it to you.
I dont want anything in return, you can even edit it if you really want to.
Its a nice idea for a map and looks pretty good, im not good with those light thingy's so they might need adjusting.
But seriously, only a few tweaks and it'll be a damn fine map.
I would script it myself but, i dont think my computer "Brains", likes me telling it what to do..... :icon28: i'd call it a mardy bitch but it will probably ban me from playing quake :puke:

I don't get it. What part of making the map requires programming?

Yeah........er thanks, but i mean the ".Def file", you know
The one you define which game types are to be used and where the TGA file for the loading screen is......and so on. My map would make a great Deadzone map aswell but i cant figure out the deadzone stuff,(get the same old errors),When i write the script it doesnt work, so i would be grateful if someone could take my map, make a few adjustments, add about 8 lines of script and upoad it somewhere after putting thier name to it. :icon23:

Um...

Why not just have someone help you out with the def file, and put the map out there yourself? Seriously, this is like saying "I've never changed a diaper before; here, take my baby."

Post the .def file here, and say what problems you're having, and I'm sure someone will help you out.

lol... nice.

fingermouse: where is your map now? what path is it in, etc? Did you make a 'maps' folder inside q4base when you made it? what are the filenames, etc? If it's a halfway decent map, I'll help you get it together... And I'm not sticking my name on it. If you did the work, put your name on it and take credit.
