Hi, i'm new here, so I just wanted to introduce myself. :icon17: I just got Quake III, but when i want multiplayer it says it can't detect the "Master Server". Does other people get this, or did i get a $40 game for nothing? :icon28:

Ok, i don't really remember how much it was...
but i know that the average video game would cost around $40-60
But i reeeeeaaaally want to play against people but it has the "Can't detect master server" error... :icon23:

so wait, you just got the game but you cant remember how much it costs and think it was about 40 dollars? we're talking U.S. american dollars right? i guess it doesn't really matter, but thats just weird.

:icon30: I found the problem... I had an obsolete version of Q3A
I downloaded a patch and i was fine.
Now that I put you guys through this forum of confusion and the answer was right under my nose, i feel like this:
