Groups?

Post by fingermouse »

Hi, i dont seem to be able to group, brushes with gtk radiant, i designing map for Q3. ok, so im selecting the brushes i want to group together, i load the entity window, double click fun_group and my entities are not grouped. Am i doing something wrong?

The entitiy window displays a classname and func_ group for the key and value, surley this is correct?, do i have to type a 1 or something into the val or key?

Is grouping as simple as selcting the brushes then double click Func_group?, or am i missing something?, i dunno eh, can i make a keyboard shortcut and add it to my gtk radiant starup?, ie ctrl/shift/G or something?
Please help, i dont wanna get stuck so early on.

I find the easiest way of making any brush-based entity is by selecting the brushes, then right-clicking on them in a 2D view and picking the entity you want on the context menu.

The method you described should work though.

Assuming you're using Gtk 1.5, grouped the brushes as described above and according to Gtk's 'Transition from older versions'-FAQ:
Why doesn't ctrl+alt+lmb select whole entities?
This feature was changed slightly. Select a brush and hit ctrl+alt+e to select the whole entity.
