Hilarious documentary about an ecofreak megalomaniac and his girlfriend getting eaten by a bear.

if it wasn't for him getting ownt by the very thing he prased it wouldn't even worth the film it was exposed on.

Well yes, that was the whole point of the film.Tsakali_ wrote:ps\

The man lived in a cloud of stupid lies of his own making, with himself as the hero. Werner Herzog did a good job of exposing that for what it really was, whilst not completely ridiculing the guy. As in: yes, he was crazy for living between bears for years and years, but the fact that he wasn't killed sooner showed that he actually sort of knew what he was doing.
I laughed myself silly at some scenes. Like his monologues earlier in the film where he comes off as a real life Owen Wilson, some kind of extremely disturbed androgynous treehugger.
Or the one where the pilot that found the corpses tells how he tries to scare away the bear that's eating them by flying his plane over it real low. Which has the inverted effect of making the bear munch down on the ribcage twice as fast, nervous that the plane will steal his lunch.
