Teaming items in Q4

Post by dnky »

Kat consulted with PJW on this, but to no avail I believe.
Is there any way of teaming items in Q4?....or any way of faking it at all if not possible as it would have been in Q3?
Whatever....

I would imagine you could do it through scripting.... I want to say that some D3:ROE map had this.

Yah, sorry about that. I just had a look through my .map archives and I can't find any trace of teamed items which I was sure was what PJW had told me when I asked him. Trouble is both he and I have been through our various chat archives and neither of us can find any trace of said key/values so I can only assume age *is* getting the better of us ;o)

lol, yeah I know that feeling!
Its funny really, I love so much of what Q4 offers, yet there are elements that are so frustrating, both in terms of the editor, the support and the game itself.
Whatever....

I'm guessing it could be done via entity jiggery-pokery (e.g. triggers and relays and such), but I have way too much on my plate atm to even screw around with it.

And yeah, senility. Bleh. I seem to remember posting how to do this for the love of God, but I have no idea now...

...oh look, something shiny over there!

Would be perhaps useful to create mods for Brain Age instead of Quake.

You kids these days. No respect. It's not like it was when I was a young mapper. Get off my lawn.
