I bought a netgear wgr614 v6 because I’m getting cable. I don’t have the cable service yet but I did want to get everything ready first so I could just plug the rj45 in and be done.
This router seems very keen on using a wizard to set it up however the wizard can’t find the internet connection so it fails. That’s fine because I wanted to skip that and set it up using the settings page. I’ve done my WEP etc but my problem is it won’t allow me to turn on the wifi radio, the option is greyed out and I can’t find any other relevant options which might allow me to turn on the wifi. I’ve upgraded the firmware to the latest on the netgear site and searched Google but found nothing.
I’m hoping there’s going to be away around this issue when I have cable and use the wizard. Can anyone help?
