i know this SHOULD be in Mac discussion...
but i already posted it there and got no response so i figured why not just post the thing here. original post:

body: "for mac? ive never had this game and i just went onto the id software site with the intention of downloading a demo of quake 2 to find that there wasnt one for mac....was the game ever released for mac??"

i just read on google that theres a special binary for intel macs, so im guessing yes

good idea, but i actually tried it already. ur not able to install windows software onto a mac tho, as soon as u open the installer app. nothing happens and u cant get access to the pak files. :icon13:eepberries wrote:If you have a windows copy of quake 2, you might be able to install one of the mac updates then put the pak files from the windows game into the baseq2 directory.
