Mouse Sensitivity Screwed

I got a problem concerning my mouse speed. I can play UT / CSS etc and my mouse will be fine. My mouse seems to be working in perfect condition when im doing ordinary tasks on PC aswell. But as soon as i enter Q3 Arena its just not as sensitive. It wasnt always like this, used to be fine yesterday, but today its just terible.

What i already tried:

Restored to default settings.
I have changed my Mouse Sensitivity to Full Ingame and nothing happened.
Changed my Mouse Sensitivity to full in my controll panel aswell. Still no change.
I also reinstalled the game, and to my suprise it still doesnt work :icon28:

Can someone please shed some light on the situation.

check the following settings in the console and make sure they're at their default values:
\in_mouse
\cl_mouseaccel
\sensitivity
\m_pitch
\m_yaw

If you're not sure how to use the console check the threads at the top of the forum.

Doh ><. I got my pc formatted in UK ( was bought in South Africa)
Anyways \ symbol isnt on my keyboard >< (the button shows the represent the symbol but when you push it this symbol # apears.


Copy and paste the symbol from youre text FTW. Any idea how i can type that symbol in my console if its not on my keyboard anymore?

Does Ctrl C & Ctrl V work in the console?

Yeah Copy&Paste works.

You don't have to use a \, try a / if you have one. They both work. And actually, unless you're actually in a game, you don't even need slashes at all.

If the button that has \ on it prints #, then find the button that has # on it and you may find that it prints \

On north american keyboards, the ' and ~ keys are swapped, which has a similar effect on the console key for Unreal Tournament

In windows, couldn't you just change your keyboard layout to North American/US format? It will still be labeled as #, but when you press it, it should type \

Tried all the mouse specific codes and i also tried the codes mentioned above in thread.

All my settings are default now. I want to change it, but i cant see any info on how to change it

hehe soz for spamming, but i dont wanna make a new post. I want to make my name with each letter a different colour. So i found this text on a page:

Quake3 has embedded support for color codes, you can pu these in you're q3config.cfg, autoexec.cfg, or where ever you want then execute it (from the console type "exec filename.cfg")

Code/Color
0 black
1 red
2 green
3 yellow
4 blue
5 cyan
6 magenta
7 white

but this all looks foreign to me. Can someone please explaine how i can make the name Moik look like this
