What the hell is it with Brits and their teeth?

I mean look at that, PMc just has this brown 'mass' where his teeth should be and his wife's teeth try to escape from her mouth in fear of the same fate (they're already turning brown at the bottom).

I guess you could say that Paul McCartney and his wife are well-off, and yet they refuse to act on this teeth-issue. Jeremy Clarkson is another example - he even makes fun of Richard Hammond all the time because his mouth doesn't look like a landfill (although nowhere near perfect).

A complete, perfect set of teeth is like what, 10000€ at the most. And none of that shit you take out at night, but fixed, screw-in, titanium implants. Better than new.

Are Brits just unaware of this? Could I make a fortune by importing dentists to Britain?

Teeth aren't supposed to be that brown at any age. It just seems... disgusting.

Those aren't great examples of bad teeth. They don't look that bad, really. Hers are kind of big, but that's not really her fault.

On the other hand, I agree that Clarkson has terrible teeth. Great line of Hammond's was when he responded to Jeremy asking how his teeth suddenly went white all by themselves:

"The same way yours have gone green."

Your point is wrong. Teeth brown naturally over time, and the only topical solution for that is to treat them with a bleaching agent.

Yes, teeth do naturally brown with age. Do you also assume skin doesn't wrinkle with age, as well?

When i was in Egypt most of the locals in the countryside chewed sugarcanes which usually rapidly destroyed their teeth. Saw kids aged twelve with rotten brown teeth there.

In another region they chewed on some kind of obscure red nut (the name of which eludes me atm) which i suspect had caffeine in it or something, because the people who did them were all wired and edgy. Anyway, the red from the nut would stick to their teeth and WHAM they all looked like psychotic freaks straight out of some kind of B horror flick. Return of the Begging Vampires on Speed or something.

Yah, Betel nuts. It's not caffeine, but some other stimulant, similar to nicotine, iirc. Chewing them also is very bad for your teeth and causes all sorts of cancer -- systemic as well as mouth and throat.

cosmetic dentistry's only just kicked off over here. think there was always this notion that the NHS would sort dentistry out, that one day dentists wouldn't just be horribly overworked, slightly frightening people you see for a few minutes every three months.

but the country's come to terms with the fact that it'll never happen, so dental vanity clinics are opening up all over the place. as long as they can get through the next 5 or 6 years without a major scandal, everything will be fine and our mouths will become billboards for our real or pupported wealth. a few more years after that and who knows, we may even stop putting sugar in absolutely everything.
