British smiles
Browning teeth isn't a natural aging process unless you consume shit that browns your teeth, and don't practice good dental hygiene to keep them clean. You know, like having your teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist.
And there's nothing "vain" about having your teeth cleaned -- it keeps them from rotting out of your head.

Ah, smarrrt. Having an entire island crawling with sick and dying creatures means noone ever has to walk very far for a reasonably priced takeout meal. Even if it isn't exactly what you ordered.4days wrote:the british, much like komodo dragons - rely on the poisonous bacteria delivered by their bite to bring down prey that manages to escape an initial attack. the hapless victim may last for several hours after being bitten but will ultimately succumb to illness and be left unable to continue.

Well, by natural I mean that normal eating habits can stain your teeth. But in addition to that, tooth color can be an intrinsic property, and as your enamel wears with age, teeth become thinner and more discolored.R00k wrote:Browning teeth isn't a natural aging process unless you consume shit that browns your teeth, and don't practice good dental hygiene to keep them clean. i said 'vanity' because that's precisely what the places are sold as. they sell tooth whitening, not dental health. if you told a british person to part with a couple of hundred quid at regular intervals just to keep their mouth healthy, they wouldn't do it. they'd sit there with their gob rotting until the NHS sent them another postcard reminding them of their checkup, then the dentist would pull out the worst teeth and tell them to fuck off home with the rest. it'll be years before brits start taking their dental health seriously, we still think we can do it by switching toothpaste brands.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:ITS VAIN TO VISIT YOUR DENTIST PERIODICALLY

Yeah I think to do with the NHS. Basic medical dental care is free, but you have to pay for anything cosmetic, so it's seen as kinda vain, in the same category as cosmetic surgery.
Btw these are mine:

Fucked up, no? Plus I have a huge overbite. But I'd still feel like a preening ponce if I did anything about them.
