Post by Giraffe }{unter »

So after sitting for 6 - 10 hours at a time in this chair playing Gears of War my ass is killing me. I need a new office chair, something comfortable, and under $300.00US

Requirements
Height adjustable
Rolling wheels, preferably rubber coated for silent rolling on hard wood
Adjustable back support
NO LEATHER

You want a quality seat but no leather? Ethical thing? Cause you're ruling out a very large portion of quality seating.

leather doesn't breathe right. I don't want a case of swamp ass after only 2 hours of sitting...

I'm partial to the mesh seating or even this one looks verry attractive...

I don't agree but fair enough. I can see what you mean if you're sitting about in shorts/short sleeves etc.

haveing the seat portion angled toward the back like that cause compression stress on lumbar vertebre when the sitter leans forward

looks great tho

Recline sideways on a bed or sofa instead. And keep switching sides.

Just personal preference, for a good soft breathable leather it's gonna cost, just look at andymans's link :olo:

That Balt chair comes in 3 versions

Balt Seatflex Manager's chair
Balt Seatflex Executive chair
Balt Seatflex Task chair

I think I'm going to head over to staples and plant my ass in one of thses bad boys and see how it feels. With printouts form a few other locations selling these chairs for over $100.00 less :icon33:

The had this really comfortable chair with all of the features you mentioned at Office Depot. It ran about $300 us dollars. VERY comfortable, it wasnt leather, but i dont know how to explain the material. VERY COOL.

I"m guessing you mean a mesh chair or the one I posted above? Our VPs have mesh chairs and they are pretty damn comfy

OMG.....i could have slept in that chair. I sat in it while desk shopping (to bad i am not in need of a new chair) But the material wasn't quite mesh, you sunk into it and it felt like it wrapped around your body. I may need to get that chair.....lol

Whats with this office chair stuff? How about a lazyboy recliner? Hell I brought my tv and xbox into the bedroom and put it on the dresser. I can strech out on the bed and frag till the wee hours of the morning, with headphones. Provided I dont wake up everyone else from yelling profanities when you chainsaw me >:E

Yeah thats another good idea. Make everything easily accessable. What would be cool is if you could get a lazy boy with the wheels and moves with the ease of a computer chair.....then you would have it made

I had it hooked up in my living room with my lounge chair in front of the tv, but the PC gamer in me wants to sit at my desk on the edge of my seat in front of my monitor. Of course the 360 still looks good at 1080i on the component input of the 24" dell :D

this is a shitty chair. there was one at a place i worked at a year ago or so and the damn thing was annoying to sit in for more than a few minutes. more of a novelty than anything.

Sadly I cannot test it out because there are none to be found around my area. I was going to just order it, but now...

Exact chair or cheap imitation?
