Zebra mindfuck plan

Consider the Zebra, the majestically striped donkey-like creature of the savannah. Consider I have a tranquilizer gun and two buckets of odourless paint, one black and one white.

Consider I’m about to tranq myself a zebra and wait for it to fall asleep ever so patiently – in order to paint it’s white stripes black and it’s black stripes white. What would happen? Would it become confused? Will the herd reject it’s new stripes, condemning it to live out it’s life in exile? Would it not be noticed at all?

I feel there are great scientific advances to be made with this experiment. Any input is appreciated!

You'd have to keep changing to the other paint each time you'd painted a stripe, to get the shape of the stripe clear, otherwise you'd have an all-white or all-black zebra and have to try to paint the stripes in the right places the right shapes afterwards.

As an additional study (for future consideration), you may also try making the stripes horizontal. :icon14:

You could run straight at him with a freshly painted fence and/or stencil.

Or run him through a special "car-wash but smaller and using paint instead of cleaning liquids. You could have a paintbrush machine slide over the zebra, painting the stripes randomly. You'd basically be recreating its paint scheme. Oh and of course you'll have a visor, nose plugs, and ear plugs for the zebra. Let me know when you wanna get started, this is pretty interesting.
