Items show in 2D -- help

Hello all,

I have installed Q3 arena tonight after a full OS re-install of WinXP SP2.
All the items in the game show in 2D, I mean the ones you can pick up such as weapons and ammo. Has anybody got any idea as to what could be wrong?

I have an Athlon 3200+, 1Gig RAM, MSI nVidia 6800GT.

I have the latest drivers for everything

Pull down the console and type: /seta cg_simpleitems 0
