I need help!!!!!

i want to know how to mod but im having a very hard time figuring it out. can someone please give me some step by step instructions or something please and thank you

Seriously though, we're generally a friendly bunch here. :)

If you want to know how to mod (meaning, how to change the game code for Quake 3), then you're in the wrong place. This is the mapping and modelling (not modding) forum.

On the other hand, if you want to learn how to make maps, I'd suggest reading the thread at the top of the forum--the one about "Starting Quake Mapping".

"I'm having a very hard time" could cover pretty much anything from reading comprehension to impotence and no one here is going to be able to help you much until you ask a specific question.

1) Like I said, read the thread at the top of the forum. There's a lot of information in that thread that addresses pretty much anything you would need to know. (Yeah, I know, it's a LOT of information. This isn't a super simple hobby. :) )

Here's a relatively simple "getting started" page. It's not flawless and may be out of date in some cases, but it should help.
