Tips for newbie?

Hey all; I am new at this game (played single a few time's couple of years ago) and now I'm going online with it.
So I choose "capture the flag" because then there are a few men who don't shoot me at once :p .

You understand; I stink!

I have not been thrown out of a game (yet).

I would like some tips of how to play (the flag I like most) and what to do and don't. I really know almost nothing!!
Last evening; I HAD the flag of the enemy (my personal best :icon31: ) and I ran to homebase........I came there and didn't know what to do with the thing!! :icon23:
I asked and got killed!
Mostly I just run around and shoot some enemy's........sometimes when I get close I try to take their flag..........when I see a mate of mine running with the enemy flag; I try to give him cover.

Is there a server just for nOOb's like me?

Then; the gamespy stuff don't wokrs on my pc and I am using the game itself........it don't give to much choises......

Has anyone got tips or a "manual to play online for me"?

edit: did u use a translator or r u just not gd at english?

o and to get a point in capture the flag you have to capture the enemy flag (like u did) then run to your base and run through your flag with it. then it should say your team scores.
Don't worry, u will pick a lot of things up by playin more.

I'm going to have a look there.

But I REALLY thought my Englisch isn't that bad.........I did not use a translator.
Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong; the words or making sentences or something else? Maybe quote a few thing I did wrong? I would really like to know.

Small mistakes mostly. You're still understandable compared to some people. Just read a bit more on the net and you'll probably pick it up along the way.

lol np. Your english isnt to bad. i mean its easy to understand what u mean but certain prases and things dont sound like what an english person would say. I suppose its like me talking your main language (by the way what is it?).
like in your post you said:

it should be:
when i got there i didnt know what to do.

you got the wrong tense but the right verb. :)

dont worry mate. english is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world!

sure thing, I'm no pro.....by any standard, but I wouldn't mind passing down the little that I do know. ;)

Not sure where you two are from, but I'm down in Northern Texas. I'm sure we could find a good server in the middle some where...but you two hit me up on MSN or AIM or something tonight sometime.

Where I am from? The Netherlands. Close to Amsterdam :icon31: very nice place to be, really. Smoke a joint in a restaurant and nobody cares :p .

I have two daughters and if the oldest wakes up; I HAVE to go to her; she doesn't allow mammy then.......so IF I am suddenly gone on msn OR the game; excuse me then.
