Sounds like someone's taking the internet seriously. :olo:
I ask you an honest question in an attempt to impart some knowledge and you throw a hissy fit.
Be a man and answer the fucking question, you little pussy. Try to figure out when I'm giving you shit and when I'm not, it's not that hard.
Your question sounded more like "I know more than you, do you know this and this?". You expected me to know the answer right away, and right away you implied that I didn't know it since you're telling me to "google it" right away.

Either way, if you meant e^ix = cos(x) + i*sin(x), then I do know it and know what it means, since we covered a bit of complex numbers in Linear II in college (different from university here), but I haven't taken complex analysis yet.

On a serious note, that show REALLY sucks. Although I can see how it would appeal to wannabe nerds with no real math knowledge whatsoever.
i watched all of season one, and can confidently assert that you are 101% correct. i have no math knowledge whatsoever, however i do know the difference between a well-written show and a pot of piss, and numb3rs falls squarely into the pot-of-piss column. also, david krumholtz's emo puppy routine really grates my cheese

Yeah, that's what I meant, but what I was getting at doesn't necessarily involve complex analysis. It's just an interesting bit about how it relates to the unit circle if you plot it on the complex plane. Euler's identity pops up almost constantly, so it's a good thing to have a solid grasp on. It has use in Fourier and Laplace transforms, differential equations, etc., etc.
