So anyway, yeah, It's such a pain in the ass to xmas shop for other adults. My wife has this thing in her family where they put everyones name in a hat..you draw and thats your person to buy a gift for. So now that we are married I have to draw a fucking name too. Like what the fuck am I going to buy my sister-in-law for xmas. I don't even like her that much. FUCK.

I mean, what kind of grown adult doesnt have everything they want, that they can afford, and the things they want and cant afford are to fucking expensive for xmas gifts. My wife and I usually dont exchange gifts, every fucking day is xmas around here. If I see something I want, I buy it. Now mayyyyybe a couple times in the past I've used xmas as an excuse to buy something I shoudnt really have (plastic), but not often.

Kids, thats whats it all about. Easy to shop for and they get so excited over a gift it makes it worth every penny just to see the look on their faces when they open it.

Yeah, I haven't bought a christmas present for anyone over 15 in decades. This was the last year for that shit. I don't buy for adults. Period. If they want something they can damn well buy it for themselves. I don't believe in christmas anyway. Niether does my wife. Our children are atheist for the most part as well. My family doesn't even gather for holidays either. We get together whenever.

yep, i don't buy for adults, only kids and everyone i know knows not to spend any $ on me either. i get what i want throughout the year so no need for someone to buy me anything especially when i probably won't like it.

rofl...it aint even secret anymore. They decided it was easier if you knew who had who, that way you could give the person some ideas on what you wanted. I mean, FUCK, how about you decided what you want and I'll just write you a check and you can fuckoff..kthxbye.

Why is that boring? Because we don't have to have a special occasion to see one another?

No. I'm trying to figure out your reasoning for saying that it sounds boring.

It sounds boring that you dont get together for holidays. You leave it up to "whenever" someone fells like getting together, which is probably a lot less then you will admit.

better?

Considering almost all of them live within 15 minutes of my house I'd wager that you're wrong.

The reason I like the holidays for get togethers is you know its coming, can plan for it, and know it will be over soon. I enjoy having people over, but part of me is always counting the minutes until things are back to normal.

I don't really care to see much of my extended family. They're mostly a bunch of retarded rednecks and moochers.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate christmas or anything. It's just another day.
