New monitor stopping BF2142 from running?

So I set up my new 19" LG Flatron Slim 2ms LCD monitor. I was having fun boosting resolutions in all my games to stunning 1280x1024 settings. However, I noticed one strange thing.

Battlefield 2142 no longer runs. It ran perfectly earlier today on the CRT. Nothing new was installed, just put in a new LCD monitor. I start the game as usual, splash image shows up, screen goes black as normal, XP taskbar shows up for a split second as usual, screen goes black again, then suddenly I get thrown back to desktop. BF2142 shows up in the process list and disappears when the desktop comes back.

Damn I'm pissed off.

Gah, thanks a million, Soap. I did and it worked. But I can't be arsed to redo all my server and control settings just because EA's games are the product of Q&A sessions turning into anal fistups. I made the new video changes and moved over my audio, server, and controls configuration files from the backed-up profile folder.

I guess you can lock this thread now, problem solved.

They set it 1000 gays in the future so it's a pretty big leap forwards in terms of gay
