Couldn't write q3config.cfg

Ok, so I posted this already but didn't really get much help, well, I did, but it didn't really make a difference. Anyways, whenever I startup the game, it used to ask for the cd key all the time but now it has stopped, although, it doesn't save any changes I make in the options, and doesn't save my player name or anything. It's just annoying when you complete a tier and then have to do it all over again, so, any help with this would be great.

make sure your Quake 3 dir is not Read only.

After I uncheck it it should stay unchecked right? Cause if so, it keeps getting checked. This is really terrible. I just wanna play Quake 3 smoothly lol.

Make sure you have write permission to the Q3 folder. Both of your problems sound like a permissions issue.

Aaaah. You're talking about the whole XP (administration/Limited user) thing right? That was literally going to be my next guess.
