Problems with using more than 2 keys at a time
hey guys.. im having some problems here.... apparently i can only use two keys at a time.. like for example.. if im pressing forward and right at the same time.. and if i press spacebar to jump.. then it wont jump.. whts happenin here?.. i cant strafe jump this way!.. im gettin my ass fragged

This is a keyboard problem. Usually.
The reason for it I can't 100% remember, but it's something like this: The PS2 keyboard interface only had enough 'space' for a limited number of different input combinations. So on a 103-key board there are always some combinations of 3 or more keys that won't work together. Quite which keys that is depends on the keyboard manufacturer and/or underlying hardware. So for example, a cheap genius keyboard might not like ALT-CTRL-ARROW, while an expensive Logitech might screw up on BACKSPACE + ARROW + ESC
If your PC makes a beep when you press the key combinations that don't work, then it's *definitely* the keyboard/socket.
BTW try putting jump on the right mouse button. I know it's hard to learn a new key location but it should get around the problem without requiring you buy a new keyboard.

thnx for the help.. but its not the keyboard issue.. iv known this problem before and my friend back in pakistan solved it.. theres some console command which i cant recall.. actually i never knew it so i cant recall..

Hey guyz.. trust me.. its NOT any of that.. now im using a different laptop.. and im still getting the same shit cuz i copied the quake from my previous laptop.. its some buffer thingi command or something like that..
