Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 3
Got this for the 360 for Xmas. Haven't opened it yet because I'm playing Jak 2 now.
Anyone have it? How's the multiplayer? I'm curious to see how 24 player online is for this one.
Also, while I'm asking about games, did anyone try FFXII?

It sucked.
Its nowhere near as good as COD2 was..
Think.. COD1 expansion. Yeah same morons made it, it sucks just as bad.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

It is shit. But not for that reason..Captain Mazda wrote:CoD2 is excellent. Since CoD3 isn't for PC, it must be sorry shit.
Those who remember COD1s expansion.. It wasent made by infinity ward. thus became shit. Just like COD3

It didn't get a bad review on IGN:

(that's the Aussie review so read it with the voice of Steve Irwin in your head).

i have it and have only played it about 3 times, but then in fairness I think is because I bought it a week before Gow and then just kind of dropped it to play that. on the whole though its just pretty average tbh, it does look nice though

I rented it, thought that it was more of the same awesome CoD goodness. Bought it the other day, along with Just Cause, which is fucking awesome.
Soapboy is clearly pissed that CoD3 doesn't have Nazis that look like bulls with +5 Gauntlets of Fondling.
At any rate, Just Cause is great, I played the demo and got hooked. Bought it and I've been playing it all night. The graphics are stunning, the story's original, and it's a lot of fun.

rented that one and gave it a try for a few days. I sucked. I enjoyed the PSP version more because it seemed a lot easier. I remember giving some brutal figure 4's to my brother as a kid.Law wrote:I've been reliving my childhood playing Smackdown! vs Raw. I can apply a damn mean figure four leglock.
It might be awhile before I use the 360 though. I want to finish all of the Jak and Daxter games before my break ends, which leaves me tomorrow and Saturday to finish Jak2, Sunday morning and Monday to finish Jak 3 (this will never happen because I'll only have about 2 hours of game time on Sunday.)
I'm loving these games and wishing I would have played them when they came out - although it is a nice bonus to be able to pick each one up for under 10 bucks. I wish there was something somewhat equivalent on the 360 - Kameo is as close as it gets. A good platformer/action/adventure game with a variety of missions, funny dialogue with a good story and great characters, etc.
I'll let you know what I think of COD3. I don't think I will hate it quite as much as others here did.
Ill give them some credit and say it wasn't awful, it was quite good.
It was just more of the same... The same damn same fucking same WW2 shooter... Argh... I mean when CoD came out I shit my pants it was so good... Now, 97 WW2 games later... Im fed the fuck up with it...
I think Infinity Ward got the right idea. They kinda "forgot" CoD as it is, and instead are making the next CoD set modern day. That I believe, will be VERY good. But even then, its not like theres a lack of modern day shooters either, is there...
I want something different. Trouble is... I dont think anybody wants to take those risks in game design anymore...

I pretty much think all WW2 shooters are the same at this point. I liked COD2, and I am pretty much just looking for an intense shooter of sorts. I heard the sound was good (not the voice acting, but the effects), so I'm hoping it will be a cool game to have blasted on the digital surround for the full effect.
Then your not going to like COD3.tnf wrote:I pretty much think all WW2 shooters are the same at this point. I liked COD2, and I am pretty much just looking for an intense shooter of sorts. Rent it before you open it imo.

I've spent the last two hours playing it, it's fucking intense. Every bit, if not more, immersive as the first two. Matter of fact, fucking cleaning my office, I'm gonna go fire it up again.GONNAFISTYA wrote:I only played a little bit of CoD 3 single player on the 360. From what I gathered...it fuckin rocked.
Load it up and go.
So then what do you make of Soap's comments that it blows? Where is he coming from on that one?Nightshade wrote:I've spent the last two hours playing it, it's fucking intense.
