Most of the updates here lately haven't required a reboot.

My pc noise doesn't bother me at night because it's in another room. Actually, I don't think it would bother me if it was in the same room. I sleep like a rock for those 4 or 5 hours I get.

my winXP machine is going on 36 days... but thats about how high it ever gets since ATi seems to be pretty good about releasing new drivers every month.. so thats a gauranteed reboot.

the OpenBSD machine says this though:
(drwatson) /home/drwatson >uptime
11:28PM up 102 days, 1:33, 1 user, load averages: 0.07, 0.12, 0.08

bit of a bump... :paranoid:

i just noticed that i'd been leaving my main computer on overnight (through sheer laziness), and it's been up for 2 days 3 hours 30 minutes already. usually i would expect some kind of slowdown or instability, but it's been running fine, as if i booted it only 30 minutes ago.

hmm....

With 98 I noticed slowdown and the like, but with XP I haven't.
