Any of you is affected with OCD?

I am. And these days I hate my toilet paper tissues, because when I rip it, it doesn’t rip straight, so, even if there is only a 1/8 square of an inche on the rest of the roll, I have to rip it and put it back with the rest of the length of paper I use.
If there is a box of something sitting on the dryer machine, I will read all what’s on it, and sometimes I have to turn it sideways to be able to read it all while being on the can.
If the box is there for two weeks, I will still read everything on it as I did the first time.
That’s fucking weird.
Any of you experience this?

yeah i have an obsessive compulsion to drive fast all the time. at least would explain all the tickets i have...wonder if that would actually hold up in court

I do that. I don't think it's obsessive compulsive so much as not wanting to get other people's shit on your hands right after washing them.Wabbit wrote:A bit.
The only thing that's kindof OCDish is that I won't touch the handle to the door in any public rest room. I don't touch the facet with my fingers, I use a tissue. The idea of getting someone else's bits of excrement on my hands totally grosses me out.
At least that's what I think.

I have to pump gas to the $ ammount of the current year.
If im at a new pump i dont know, i prepay that exact ammount..

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

In some small ways I suppose, but nothing that starts to take over my life like someone diagnosed with OCD. I think everyone has little quirks that they do to subconsciously and consciously feel better, and I think it's perfectly normal as long as it doesn't interfere with everday habits and work.
When I play hockey, I have to dress by putting all my left side padding on first (left pad, then right, then skate, then right). Lots of sportsplayers do weird shit like that.

Wouldn't the thing that determines if it's OCDish be if it caused you alot of anxiety or stress to not do it that way? It just reminded me of my "get ready for work" routine: pick out clothes; head to bathroom; start shower (so water gets hot); brush teeth; shower; comb hair (I wash it everyday); lotion/body spray; dress; deoderant; makeup; watch/jewelry; done.Wizard .3 wrote:When I play hockey, I have to dress by putting all my left side padding on first (left pad, then right, then skate, then right). If I get interrupted, I'll forget to do something. In the past I've forgotten to brush my teeth; put on makeup; use deoderant; put my watch on; etc. It depends at what point I get interrupted.
Edit: Forgot to add, it doesn't cause me anxiety to do it out of order, I just forget to do shit which I find annoying.

Have you ever noticed if you drive faster when you sing in the car? With me, the higher the note, the faster I go...Grandpa Stu wrote:yeah i have an obsessive compulsion to drive fast all the time. at least would explain all the tickets i have...wonder if that would actually hold up in court

I have been diagnosed with OCD and it has taken the form of hand washing for me, and although it is better now it used to cause huge anxitey porblems in my life. For a while i would wash my hands around 7 times in a row before they were "clean"(i would wash them over basicly anything) and if anything interupted me (ie if i touch somthing that is "dirty" which which seemed to be most things in existence) I would start over again.
This only got worse before it got better, but slowly over time i have become less obsessive about things.
My OCD has also affected me in the sence that i am often paranoid about anything i have locked if i dont check it atleast once after locking.
