iTunes Hangs

Whenever I use the party shuffle in iTunes (7.0.2) and one song ends it sometimes freezes the entire conputer for 5 or so seconds and then plays the next song, this is extremely annoying. I've looked at the hard drive activity light and it isn't having any issues loading songs. Why does iTunes do this?

found this on some comment section someplace that has no other relevance, so i didn't bother linking:

If you have the recently played songs in Party Shuffle set to 0 (zero) shuffle stops after each song. Set it to non 0 and it works fine This is new in 7.01. Not a feature, must be a bug.

maybe it makes sense to you since you have iTunes.

That doesn't really make sense to me. I'll take a look at it later, but I don't have anything in it set to 0.
