icon colors

I dont know what has happened but the text below my icons is constantly highlighted. If I go into display settings, the icon text color changes to whatever I set the desktop color to.

I have tried right clicking desktop and going to arrange icons by....and seeing if Lock web items on desktop is clicked [it is not] and control panel, system, advanced, settings....to make sure the drop shadows for icons is ticked [it is].

Have also tried display properties, desktop, customize desktop, web, lock desktop icons....not this.

Anyone know how to fix this??

XP Home, SP2.

This is still not resolved. Goodle suggestions do not work. Are there any suggestions of things to try aside from what I have tried.?

Right-click desktop

Arrange Icons By

Deselect 'Lock Web Items on Desktop'
