Also, the lights are bright. Where is that? Local HS?

The lights aren't bright, I was shooting at 3200 with a shutter speed around 320 at f/2. It's a D1 gym, not a HS.

Oh shit, my bad. I was just looking at the mascot and mostly going off of my limited experiences with gyms.

Hey, just wondering if you still shoot any B&W film? If so, what are you shooting?

I've always wanted a blad but never really crazy enough to invest in it(lens cost). Instead I picked up a used M645 1000s w/prism, 55mm, 80mm macro for less than $900 many years ago. Prior to using this I had a Mamiya 7II w/80mm, 43mm.

I just bought a Nikon flash from KEH for $45(used). That same used flash here is $140 :icon27:

It's ISO 3200... I'd say it's relatively noise free

Anyone have any experience with a Pentax K1000? Reason I ask is a friend of mine just bought one for his girlfriend (she's doing some kind of photography class where they only use film, I thought they would switch to digital now days?).

Now apparently according to him and her teacher their an amazing camera which everyone wants. Whereas, from what I gather it's just a good cheap beginner SLR camera, nothing too special. Any opinions? I don't want them to think it's the best camera in the world and waste lots of money on it.

I know hardly anything about film. My Dad used to use film SLRs and I have a few of his old cameras/lenses around but that's generally all I know about them. :)

I've got one.. it's nothing special. You can get some nice Zeiss lenses for it. I stole mine from work since no one uses it any more

I've only ever used Tri-X 400. If I were going to use something else I'd probably use some 3200 film like TMX because I like the high contrast and thick grain it produces

DB, I meant to ask you...what's the cheapest way to get to France from the UK? Ferry? Fly? I know the Eurostar is also an option. Have you been to France? Any tips you can share?

Late night Eurostar will cost you £22 to get to the UK. Ferry is your best option if you aint driving as you can get plenty of buses to London then.

France is ok, just full of French people. Only thing that lets it down really :)

I'm not DB but i am from the same country...

Just couldn't remember when you posted that pic, if you're switched to Vista yet.
That scheme looks nice.
