is going to be the size of a fucking bowling ball based on how it feels right now. anyone want me to mail it to them when i piss it out? i'll rinse it off.

oxycodone isn't helping with this much...its like pissing on a forest fire.

They do...I have had several blown up, but sometimes they can't blow them up due to other factors and my nephrologist is really cautious about doing it because the ultrasonic waves do some moderate damage to the kidney tissue as well. So as long as the ones I have aren't big enough to cause major blockage, she figures I'm better off just passing them.

And when you get them zapped, you still have to piss out the gravel, which is none too pleasant either.

This one is still a bitch.

C’mon Sir, if you really think that you have one, I don’t know if you have to pay to remove it but there are ways to do it. Sometimes with only some medications or through some type of laser beaming at it. Well, I’m sure you know this and that you are just joking about it. One of my uncle had one and it hurts more then you can ever imagine.

Actually pete I've had over 75 kidney stones in the last 15 years.

The medications deal with the pain, and the 'laser beaming' is the blasting I just described, a procedure I've had done twice.

oh, btw - fuck off pete.

And the doc has told me that if it isn't out by tomorrow I have to go see him. Once I had to have them go 'up there' and pull the damn thing out of my ureter.

That was fun.

ugh. hurts just thinking about it.

how does this work with your teaching gig? I'm sure you are used to the meds if you have been dealing with stones for so long, but its just kinda funny to think that the teacher would be more stoned than anyone in class.
or do you take the time off when you get the bad ones?
