What do you think of this MDA ?

Upgrade is due and I can buy this MDA Compact III with or without co-pilot. Since reading reviews that co-pilot likes to take people around the houses rather than to the house it was told to go to, I'm going to buy it without, ie, for a mere £90 and not £190. I have tomtom navigator 6 ready to be installed once I've bought a micro SD card. I'm thinking of getting a 2 GB card but someone told me 2 GB cards are problematic in this machine. so maybe I'll go for a 1 GB. Mobymemory.com has some excellent prices. I need about 300 mb space for the sat nav + UK maps. This unit has built-in gps receiver, fm radio, mp3, 2.0 MP camera, windows mobile 5, and I believe it also makes phone calls. Sounds like a bargain to me with all these features and such a cheap price, as I've never owned a pda/mda before. Doesn't have wi-fi and the processor isn't that quick. Not that bothered though tbh. What do you think then?

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command, we shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine patris, et fili, et spiritus sancti.
and this is the truth.dmmh wrote:any phone with M$ software on it == sucks

I had one and I just think most features are so hard to access. Like receiveing an SMS from an unknown contact and you want to add it, you have to copy the number, manually create a new contact, then paste it in the appropriate field. Belgh, I mean, c'mon ffs, that's just plain user unfriendly.Denz wrote:I have the Motorola Q with M$ Mobile Windows 5 and so far no problems. It's not slow at all, but I would have to think that's a CPU issue and not the software. I can't believe I said something nice about M$! I may be loosing my mind.dmmh wrote:any phone with M$ software on it == sucks
I had one with WM2003SE though, perhaps it changed, but I decided to switch back to good old Nokia. From now on, just Nokia for me.
What it comes down to is that you have to hack the shit out of the OS to make it work properly and a bit more user-friendly. My time is just to precious, I want something that works like it should out of the box.
